BACKGROUND
CD1 refers to a family of five transmembrane glycoproteins which structurally resemble MHC-I as they associate with B2 microglobulin.
Functionally similar to MHC-II molecules, CD1 molecules are thought to present lipoglycidic and lipidic antigens to T lymphocytes. While CD1b is membrane associated, CD1c may be produced also in soluble form.
PRODUCT
1. Each vial contains the indicated amount of IgG (caprylic acid) in 0,1% gelatine and 0,05% NaN3.
2. Unpurified reagent is provided at the indicated amounts with 0.1% NaN3.
Centrifuge the vial prior to use.
SUBCLASS
Mouse IgG1.
SPECIFICITY
The reagent provided does not recognizes the CD1 d isoform. Because of the strong reactivity with epidermal Langherans cells is likely to recognize an epitope shared by the CD1 a,b and c isoforms.
STORAGE
Store frozen, avoid repeated freeze-thawing. Stable for 2 yrs.
SHIPPING CONDITIONS
Room temperature.
